Parentbooks permanently closed on January 31st, 2021. In 2014, Parentbooks moved to 121 Harbord Street from 201 Harbord Street.

Parentbooks’ range of resources has expanded over the years to include books for grandparents, midwives, and ECE teachers, as well as resources supporting grief counseling, LGBTQ families and children on the autism spectrum. Owner Patti Kirk also intentionally seeks books by underrepresented writers and resources with positive illustrations of kids from all backgrounds and family structures.
