A kid-friendly organic food restaurant like Fresh in the west end? It is real, and it is called Thrive Organic. Located in Long Branch right on the Lakeshore, Thrive features a delicious menu that is 90% organic with fair-trade and local organic ingredients.
The house burger is a grain and nut patty on a sprouted bun with chipotle sauce, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and tomatoes:

The BUDDHA bowl features baby spinach, micro-greens, carrots, onions, mango, cilantro, peanuts, black sesame seeds with a tahini/camu dressing:

The Longevity salad is filled with spinach, avocado, goji berries, red onion, goat cheese, sprout mix, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, with an acai/maca dressing:

The menu also offers a terrific selection of fresh juices and superfood booster smoothies, as well as organic beer and wine:

Thrive Organic has a section on the menu for children with kiddie rice bowls, wraps and burritos. The atmophere is comfortable, casual and there is live music on Tuesday nights. 3473 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke.

Looks interesting, the beer would probably be my first item to order!
Haha it was definitely Scott’s! LOL!
This sure isn’t the Lakeshore I grew up near in the 1950’s!
