The Earl of Whitchurch in Stouffville: NOW CLOSED

For many of us, the point of going to a pub is to have a cold delicious pint. Now, there is certainly no shortage of excellent local beers to choose from at the Earl of Whitchurch, but we were there for the food,, especially the mac ‘n cheese burger.

The beer-battered shrimp were light and juicy, with the bacon adding a savoury crispness.

If you prefer your mac ‘n cheese straight up, you’ll love the one at this Stouffville pub. It is smothered in an insanely yummy beer cheese sauce, bacon, panko and lots and lots of melty shredded cheese.

The menu features a great selection of pub favourites as well as very creative daily specials. The soup of the day was the chicken fajita soup, just loaded with flavour.

The Earl of Whitchurch features a braised beef cheek Wellington baked in a puff pastry with mushrooms that is just perfect. If you’ve never tried beef cheek before, this is the way to do it.

Get your dining buddies to climb Sugar Mountain with you. Vanilla ice cream on top of a funnel cake drizzled with chocolate and caramel and topped with deep fried Mars Bars. You can’t see those, because we already ate them.

Located on Main Street in historic Stouffville, the Earl of Whitchurch features an impressive selection of local craft beers. There is event space upstairs ideal for hosting any kind of gathering, and every Sunday at 3pm local musicians gather here to jam with everyone. The Earl of Whitchurch is located at 6204 Main St. in Stouffville.
