Tripl3 Baked is a Markham bakery known for their French Toast cupcakes, so I had to give them a try. Before I get to the cupcakes, here’s a little information about Markham. It’s about 30 kilometers north of Toronto. Many people who live in Markham work in Toronto or frequently visit Toronto for dining, shopping and entertainment (and vice versa.) This close proximity to Toronto is one of the reasons why Markham is an ideal location for people who want to live in a suburban or small-town setting but still have easy access to the amenities and opportunities of a large city. It’s relatively easy to travel between Markham and Toronto, and the journey usually takes less than an hour by car or public transit depending which part of the Toronto you are coming from and how heavy the traffic happens to be. I work in the Scarborough area of the city, which is about a 20 minute drive on the highway.
This is a lovely little shop with a wonderful selection of delicious fresh-baked goods.

The French Toast cupcakes brought me here, but the Salted Caramel ones stopped me in my tracks.

The sandwich cookies were a bit hit when I got back to the studio. I love a good old fashioned chocolate chip cookie and the only thing better is two of them stuck together with yummy icing filling.

Here are the Cookie Crumb cupcakes which have crushed Oreos on top.

The French Toast cupcakes did not disappoint. They really tasted like french toast, with a hint of maple syrup. And the tiny little french toasts on top are the perfect touch. Are you getting the sense that I really like french toast?

I knew when I got back to the studio I would be so excited to crack open the goods that I would forget all the flavours I bought, so I did a little Periscope outside this nut-free bakery in Markham.
Tripl3 Baked is located at 2677 Bur Oak Ave.
