After 40 years and eight months of providing fresh seafood to the community, one of the Queensway’s most beloved institutions- the Big Fish Market- has closed its doors for good. The owners are heading into a much deserved retirement and while this news is not surprising, its closing is a loss for the community as it was one of the few places in neighbourhood where customers could find high-quality seafood at reasonable prices.

The Big Fish Market always had an excellent selection of sushi grade tuna and the freshest salmon, cod, tilapia and halibut. The mussels from Prince Edward Island during mussel season were really something to look forward to and their oysters were always so fresh and flavourful.

The Big Fish Market was well-known for its friendly and knowledgeable staff, who were always willing to help you choose the perfect seafood for whatever meal you were planning. It was also a fun place to go for recipes and cooking tips, as the staff were always happy to share their expertise.

The Big Fish Market will be deeply missed by seafood lovers who enjoyed popping in for dinner inspiration before a trip to No Frills. 765 The Queensway, Etobicoke.
