A second location of Eataly in Toronto is opening on Thursday November 2nd at 3pm at Sherway Gardens, in the space where the Pickle Barrel used to be.
Eataly opened it’s first location in Canada in 2019, in downtown Toronto on Bloor Street at Bay in the Manulife Centre. (It moved into the space where William Ashley was; William Ashley relocated in 2018 to a new spot on the Mink Mile in The Colonnade at 131 Bloor Street West.) It’s the biggest Eataly in North America at 50,000 square feet and after a few trips to actual Italy I was excited to have a new place in the city to buy authentic Italian products. When I want something special for a family gathering I love to stop in there.
Eataly has a massive selection of grocery products including over 100 types of extra virgin olive oil exclusively harvested in Italy. All the fresh sweets are made in-house. Seafood is sourced from the exceptional Diana’s Seafood. The cheesemongers make the mozzarella fresh every morning in the Mozzarella Lab, and I love visiting the pizza counter for a slice of something really indulgent.
And of course there is exceptional salumi, fresh pasta and delicious bread, pastries and focaccia. Eataly at Sherway Gardens is expected to open by the end of 2023. 25 The West Mall, Etobicoke.
