Watching Toronto Marlies Games

The Toronto Marlies are the American Hockey League affiliates of the Toronto Maple Leafs. You can watch Marlies home games at Coca-Cola Coliseum, and every once in a while (Boxing Day and Family Day for example) they play at the Scotiabank Arena.

Toronto Marlies at Scotiabank Arena

It’s a great way to see some pretty amazing hockey for a fraction of the price of seeing the Maple Leafs. We’ve seen players like Timothy Liljegren, Rasmus Sandin, Sam Gagner and others that got called up to play for the Leafs the very next night. You never know who you will see from the visiting team either. We saw World Junior star Ridly Greig recently and caught Casey Mittelstadt when they were sent down for a conditioning stint.

Marlies at the Coca-Cola Coliseum

The games at the Coca-Cola Coliseum are my favourite because it’s more of a chill vibe. Located at Exhibition Place, this arena was formerly known as Ricoh Coliseum. The cost of a Marlies game ranges from $15-$30 and there are always deals if you sign up for their newsletter. What is also fun is their theme days and giveaways; we saw a country band perform at this game and it was so much fun.

The next game on Saturday February 4th will have a toque giveaway and a post-game player autograph signing. Coca-Cola Coliseum, 45 Manitoba Drive, Toronto.
