There will soon be another spot to order gourmet pizza in Etobicoke. A location of the Pizzaiolo chain is opening at the corner of Islington and Rathburn. A friend of mine who lives nearby is quite excited as she loves their Bianca pizza (artichokes, zucchini, garlic and feta) and now she can get it delivered .
Pizzaiolo was started back in 2000 by Luigi Petrella, who comes from a long line of pizza makers (his grandparents had a restaurant in Montorio, Italy.) When Luigi’s parents came to Canada in the 60s, they opened up their own pizza place in north Toronto. And now there are over 40 Pizzaiolo locations in Ontario.
