A Belly Buster submarine shop is now open in Etobicoke, at Bloor and Islington. The other Belly Buster locations in Toronto are uptown and downtown; this is the first in the west end of the city. Belly Buster is a family owned business established in 1974. The chain has gained a loyal following over the years for its fresh ingredients, quality meats and great value.

You can see from this photo that Belly Buster’s in Etobicoke has opened up beside the former location of beloved local pub Orwell’s, which permanently closed last year after almost four decades in business. The owner of Orwell’s named it after the year it opened; back in 1984, George Orwell’s novel was a hot topic of conversation. It will be interesting to see what opens here next, as the space has now been leased.

The signature Belly Buster sandwich is roast beef and salami topped with mushrooms and gravy; $9.99 for a small, $13.39 for a large. 3371 Bloor St. West, Etobicoke.

It’s right next door to the recently opened Belly Buster. […]
