Saulter Street Brewery in Toronto

by S Michael

I always enjoy trying out beers I haven’t had before and when I was at a Toronto Arrows game recently, I enjoyed Whirs & Clanks which is a Japanese Style Lager made by Saulter Street Brewery in Toronto.

It appears that Saulter Street has a monopoly on beer at Major League Rugby games in Toronto. They offer both Whirs and Clanks, along with their flagship beer, the Riverside Copper Pilsner.

They have booths throughout the York Lions Stadium along with a tent in one end zone where you can grab a drink and watch from field level.

I don’t know how they got connected with the Toronto Arrows because the actual Saulter Street Brewery is located in the Riverdale area of Toronto east of downtown.

The brewery opened in 2017 and is kind of hidden off Saulter Street which is a dead end, but there is a helpful sign directing you to it.

When searching for the best taprooms in Toronto, you’ll find Saulter Street Brewery at the top of many best of the city lists. And it’s dog-friendly too!

The Saulter Street Brewery taproom opens daily for draft at noon. 31 Saulter St #1, Toronto.
