For over four decades, the Apple Factory Country Grocer has been a cherished spot in Brampton and a popular tourist destination. What began in 1979 as a humble apple-focused store, offering cider and the famous AF Apple Pie, soon blossomed into beloved country market shopping experience.

Over the years the store’s offerings expanded to include prepared foods, a wide selection of meat, produce, baked goods, and an array of unique products like Apple Factory brand items, British treats, Picard products, and Newfoundland cuisine.

On December 31, the Apple Factory will be closing its doors. The property at 10024 Mississauga Rd. is set to undergo a transformation into a housing development, subject to approval. The proposed plan includes 1,302 residential units, with 238 townhouse units and 1,064 apartments.

Shoppers have until December 31st, 2023 to visit the Apple Factory and experience its rustic charm before it closes. 10024 Mississauga Road, Brampton.
