Eataly is set to open its third Toronto location at the Shops at Don Mills in 2024, following the launch of its second store at Sherway Gardens on November 2nd, 2023, This addition will make Toronto the city with the most Eataly locations in North America, and second in the world only to Tokyo, which has four.

Eataly will be taking over the vacated space on Lawrence Avenue, which was previously occupied by celebrity chef Mark McEwan’s Fabbrica restaurant. Fabbrica closed in 2021. McEwan Fine Foods, the grocery store, is still operating here. (The McEwan Fine Foods location at the corner of Yonge and Bloor closed in December 2021.)

Eataly’s first Canadian location opened in November 2019 at the Manulife Centre in downtown Toronto. This 55,000 square-foot space spans three levels and features various restaurants and grocery offerings. It’s such a beautiful store, one of my favourite places to shop in Toronto.

Eataly’s flagship in downtown Toronto is unique in North America. It is the only location to offer three regional pizza styles and to hosti after-hours Eataly tasting experiences.
The last time I was at the downtown Toronto Eataly, I took a photo of this enormous wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano because looking at it makes me happy.

Eataly’s cheese selection is large and impressive.

The Shops at Don Mills is situated at the intersection of Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue East in the North York suburb of Toronto. 1090 Don Mills Road, Toronto.
