Toronto Scoop
Hi, I’m Rosie, creator of the Toronto Scoop. I’m a lifelong Toronto resident who has travelled a lot but loves home best. I think Toronto is a terrific place to live, work, raise a family, start a business, eat, shop and sight-see. I created this website to help you explore and enjoy this diverse and interesting city. From discovering new restaurants in Toronto to enjoying music festivals, skating rinks and off-leash dogs parks, there’s so much to see and do. The only constant in this city is change and I love trying to stay on top of it all.
I am a wife, mom and special needs advocate who has worked in Toronto media for over 20 years. I currently work as a performer and a television producer. I love public art, concerts, film fests and all types of food and drink (especially coffee) and want to try every eatery that pops up in the city. Our family has an autism service dog for our son and we spend a lot of time exploring and sharing the dog-friendly parks and businesses in Toronto.
At Toronto Scoop, photography is a shared passion between me and our talented contributors. All the photos you find on this site belong to this collaborative effort, unless we provide a photo credit to recognize the skilled photographers who’ve added their work to our visual narrative.
As the Editor-in-Chief of Toronto Scoop, this project brings me immense joy. We strive to cover what I believe adds to a positive Toronto or GTA experience, from new businesses to city issues to advocacy matters close to our heart. If you’re curious about something you don’t see here, it doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t like it; we might just not have covered it yet. Thank you for reading… I hope you enjoy the Toronto Scoop.
